Welcome to the web presence of the United Nations Association in Canada (Edmonton Branch).

We are committed to promoting awareness of critical issues such as the environment, human rights, disarmament, and development. We strive to reach various sectors of our community such as students, teachers, community organizations, businesses, and individuals wanting to explore the UN and its world.

Everyone is welcome to attend our monthly meetings and to join the branch.  Thank you for your interest in the work of our branch.

OUR BRANCH IN THE NEWS: On October 24, 2005 we celebrated the 60th anniversary of founding of the United Nations at Grant McEwan college.  The following day’s edition of the Edmonton Journal contained a photo of the event.  Click here to view photo.

In addition, Mayor Stephen Mandel issued a proclamation declaring October 24, 2005 “United Nations Day” in Edmonton. Click here to view the city proclamation.
